Turning back on the farm mare, Spike was stopped by the familiar heavy hoof-steps of her brother approaching, a paper bag held in his mouth.
Spike barely held back a smirk, looking at AJ, "Mind if I talk to Mac first, since that's why we came here?"
Glowering at the young dragon, Applejack, sighed, "Fine, but we still got some talkin' to do, Spike," 'Specially 'bout how you've been treating Rainbow, she added in thought.
"Yeah, yeah, okay," Spike waved her off, turning to the stallion, "Hey, Mac', got a minute?"
"Eeyup," Macintosh said around the bag. Honestly, the dragon was a nice fella, even if he'd seemed a bit brash since his wings grew in. Then again, Mac' was a teenager at one point, too.
"Think we could talk somewhere in private?"
"Eeyup," Big Mac nodded, leading the dragon to the tool shed. He needed a couple things for the gazebo, anyways.
Applejack snorted, turning to check on Rainbow and really missing the nice little feller Spike had been before his growth spurt.

Spike watched as Big Mac' looked through some tools, quietly belching some fire into his claw, the flames flickering out to reveal the Idol, stored in his flames. Macintosh's back to him, the crimson stallion didn't even see the totem before it activated.
Spike felt the familiar rush as his body grew, this time less in height and more in girth, his body filling out with strong, powerful muscles as his mind suddenly felt oddly calm, the strong, silent fame of mind once held by Macintosh Apple overbalancing the brash tomboyishness of Rainbow Dash.
Meanwhile, Big Mac wasn't so big anymore, getting a bit smaller and a lot thinner, almost to the point where he could be mistaken for a mare by anyone who didn't know him, even his Cutie Mark shrinking in size while his mind shifted to...
