Jim peeked around the corner just as Beth had her back to the plant, filling a glass of water.

Jim could feel the hair on the back of his neck as he witnessed the plant coming to life.

The flower folded back as the tentacles shot out towards Beth.

1. Jim really like beth (like mother and son) and didn't want the plant to mate with her.
2. *Jim didn't like Beth. She was allways such a snob and treated him with false friendship. So he watched as the plant attacked her.
3. Jim walked into the kitchen to get a closer look at the plant.
