"Maybe all this time Sharon has been trying to contact me." Jim thought and decided his next stop was his home.

His little sister and her friends were playing in the driveway as Jim pulled up. He didn't want them messing with the plant so he took it inside.

Jim had been out a long time and no idea he was in for a heavy scolding from his mother. "Jimmy, where the hell have you been?!" She said, shaking her finger in Jim's face. Jim attempted an explanation but was cut short as his mother said "I don't want to hear it. You haven't done any of your chores and the phone has been ringing off the hook!"

"Calls, did Sharon call?" Jim's face lit up. His mother shook her head and said as she ushered him towards the kitchen "You'll get your messages after you finish your jobs. Now get busy!"

1. Jim got mad and introduced his mother to his new pet plant.
2. Jim sat the bagged plant on the diningroom table and went to start his chores
3. *Jim's mother grabbed the plant and told him to get into the kitchen and start the dishes.
