"Sharon!" Jim shouted, rushing over to where his girlfriend lay flat on the floor. He knelt down next to her and looked over her flatten body. He still found it hard to believe that she had been a cartoon character. But the fact that she had been flatten by a steamroller before coming back out of the television couldn't be denied.
"Oh, dear," he heard a voice say from behind him. He looked up to see Samantha, the woman who had given him the remote as a present for Sharon, standing in his doorway.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. "Haven't you caused enough trouble?"
"I realized that I had forgotten to give you the instructions for the remote," she told him, taking a booklet from her purse. "I brought them back with me."
"Instructions?" Jim said. "Well, it's a little late. Look at Sharon." He pointed to the motionless cutout of a girl on the floor.
"But she's fine," Samantha explained. "That is the power of the remote. It reprograms the subject to be just like a character in whatever program you choose. Sharon is now a living cartoon character, and can be flattened, inflated, frozen, or anything else that can happen to a cartoon."
"Oh, really," Jim said.
