"Oh, really," Jim said, pointing the remote at Samantha. "Well, if she's so fine, let's see how you like it."
"Jim, wai..." Samantha never finished her cry. As Jim pressed the power button, he watched as she "blinked out" just as Sharon had done before. Smiling with satifaction, he pointed to where she had stood a moment before, and again pressed the button. In a flash, Samantha was back. "You moron," she shouted. "Do you know what you've done?"
"Uh-huh," Jim nodded. "I've programmed you into the remote. Now, let's see what's on T.V., shall we?" He turned to the television, and punched in a channel.
From behind him, he heard Samantha started to say, "Jim, the remote can only..." Then, from the corner of his eye, he saw the familiar flash indicating that she had disappeared. He laughed, as he saw what program came on the screen.
