Konatsu and Ranma, Ukyo and Akane: Akane explains without explaining

"How did it happen?" Ryoga asked himself, sitting down by the fire.

Akane knew Ryoga was just talking to himself but decided to answer anyway. "It's complicated. Very much so. And no turning back."

Ryoga nodded. "I see. Well I'm not going anywhere, too dangerous. And not knowing will keep me up. That's for sure. May you explain then, Tendo-San?"

Akane froze up. She didn't know where to start. Or how much. It wasn't like she didn't trust Ryoga, but was it her right to tell? Ranma said she didn't care who knew and if they didn't accept it oh well but Akane didn't feel comfortable to do it. "You have to ask Ranma yourself."

"Fair enough." Ryoga sighed. "So, why are you here in China anyway? And you two Ukyo?"

Ukyo smirked and opened her mouth but Akane put a hand over it.

"Ah! Um, well you see, well Ranma..." Akane was nervous beyond belief. "We met Ranma and traveled to Jusenkyo for uh, moral support?"

Ryoga was suspicious that something was up. Akane closing Ukyo's mouth was unusual to say the least. "We? So you two were looking for him or something?"

"Yes! Yes, Ranma left town and we grew conceded and found Ranma so, that. Yes." Akane averted her eyes, failing to stay calm. "So with Ranma locked now, it's well we, it's hard going back home you know? Our fathers will still try to marry us and all and auntie Nodoka well I don't know how she will react."

"I get it." Ryoga slumped. "That just be hard. He... Ranma, he's still treating you well though right?"

Akane nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes of course! But well you see, with the issues and locking, well, Ranma's well we aren't engaged anymore. Not that certain people agree but it was mutual."

Ryoga couldn't even manage a smile. Akane and Ranma wernt together, but since he's been with Akari for so long now, it didn't fill Ryoga with hope, just sadness. "That's, that's terrible."

"Don't worry yourself for me Ryoga." Akane still clumsy make eye contact. "We just went our seperate ways that's all."

Ryoga glanced to Ukyo. "So did you?"

Ukyo got Akane to remove her hand. "Nope. Sure I might have but I've moved past that. Ran-chan knows. But she did find love..."

Akane coughed loudly and awkwardly. "Well yes. But... Well complicated."

Ryoga stood up. "SHAMPOO?"

Ukyo shook her head. "Acchan here won't tell you unless you can keep it a secret."

The nickname once again confused Ryoga. Ranma wasn't having them both. But they were friendly. Did Ranma's locking cause this? Ryoga guessed it could. Without Ranma to come between them they could get along quite well. "I guess I owe Ranma that at least. Is it bad? Tendo-san you've been looking away this whole time."

"No I wasn't!" Akane lied. "It's just the fire. It's hot! Yes! It's just that, well since Ranma is stuck as a girl, he... She, decided to embrace it. I think. It seems that way I guess. And that makes any relationship irky you know? Just, heard of the LGBT?"

Ryoga scratched his head and thought what that could be. "Lettuce, uh green bacon tomato?"

Ukyo laughed. "Green bacon... Maybe I should try that."

"Err, no..." Akane blushed. "Just, well I don't know if Ranma's parents would approve."

Ryoga was shocked. "KODACHI?"

"NO!" Akane fumed. She knew she shouldn't be mad, being so vauge and all but the frustration of getting this right was difficult.

"What could, a foreigner?" Ryoga guessed.

Akane shook her head. "No. Well I don't think so but, well, uh... Hey Ryoga, should two girls, should they kiss?" Akane decided that if she was testing the waters to test her situation as well. Besides she had an excuse of Ranma's love life.

Ryoga's eyes glazed over and he fantasized. For three seconds before he fell over, a nosebleed shooting out of him.

"Yep. Typical reaction." Ukyo nodded. "Told ya."

Akane wished Ukyo wouldn't joke about this. But she was grateful for Ukyo letting her explain at her own pace. Akane did wish for Ukyo's laid back attitude of not giving a fuck. Since right now this was tearing her apart.

"Two girls..." Ryoga mumbled. "Wait a second!"

Akane gulped. Did he figure it out?

Ryoga got serious. "My curse! How can you tell, can you, Akari would hate me."

Akane sighed in relief.

"I'm sure it'll be fine." Ukyo shrugged. "She's too sweet to hate. Besides, I'd be more worried about getting a makeover and going on shopping trips."

Ryoga imagined that, having stuff on his face, carrying bags, getting lost, running around in a mall, bathroom issues which was even scarier since Ryoga saw Ranma's own issues with public places and water. He shivered , becoming even more afraid.

"Sugar, if that scares you that badly how on earth are you in a relationship anyway?" Ukyo chuckled, slapping a knee.

Akane elbowed Ukyo. "So, what do you think of those relationships? Girls with girls is what I mean."

Ryoga responded by bleeding from his nose again.

"That's as good of an answer as you're going to get Acchan." Ukyo pointed to Ryoga on the ground in a puddle of his own blood.

"Boys, honestly." Akane sighed.
