The original Nymphadora Tonks was dead, but the Tonks skinsuit had combined with Harry Potter's body and self and re-created her. She admired her naked body, now pink-haired the way both Harry and her original liked it, in the mirror, and then changed her pubic hair pink to match the hair on her head. Harry of course hadn't known that she normally changed all her hair the same color, and this Tonks realized then that she had not only her original's body and its shape-changing abilities, but at least some of her original's memories and delightful personality as well. She retained Harry's memories and personality completely, it seemed, but it took her a very slight effort to think like Harry and use his memories rather than her own.
Tonks closed her eyes, concentrated, and, rapidly and smoothly even for her, assumed the form of the same Harry Potter she'd been just before he'd put on the Tonks skinsuit. "Harry" didn't even have to open "his" eyes to know that "his" impersonation of Harry was flawless, but "he" did anyway and gave "his" Harry body's reflection a good look. It's so easy to become a copy of Harry, the Harry-shaped Tonks thought. I know exactly what it feels like to be Harry -- makes it so much easier than when I have to guess! She smiled a rather Tonks smile with her Harry face. Usually, maintaining another person's form (rather than, say, something trivial like keeping her hair pink), took a little effort on her part, but her Harry memories and a near-lifetime of being Harry made this impersonation effortless!
The new Nymphadora Tonks -- like Harry, she now rather liked the given name she'd long despised -- realized that she didn't really want to be Harry Potter any longer, that as Harry she'd envied Tonks not only her abilities but her personality and her very self, that if she stayed herself, the original Tonks would still be dead but at least a perfect copy would exist and she would have the pleasure of being that copy. Being herself was better than being any of the other people she could have been using a skinsuit, her original was dead anyway, and she could impersonate Harry Potter so that he wouldn't just vanish.
Tonks put on the clothes that Harry had shed in order to put on the Tonks skinsuit, combed her Harry hair with her Harry fingers, and had a look around the room before she left.
