Madison walked up to the door, and to Robin's momentary hope, recognition flashed in her eyes. But those hopes were quickly dashed as Madison scowled at her in disgust and dislike.
"What are you doing here, skank?" she asked bitterly, "Shouldn't you be in an alleyway somewhere getting gang-banged by crackheads?"
Robin could only stare at her friend in slack-jawed shock at the insult, and Lynn looked at her daughter in surprise.
"Madison! Watch your language! And how do you know this girl?" she said firmly.
"She's just some white trash bitch from school," Madison replied.
"White trash?!" Robin exclaimed, anger at the label breaking through the confusion and shock she was still feeling.
"Oh, I see," Lynn said snidely, shooting Robin a scowl of her own, "Well, miss, I don't know if you came here for a handout or some sort of scam, but we don't welcome your kind in a nice neighborhood like this. Please leave, or I'm calling the police."
"Wait-" Robin started to say, only for Lynn to slam the door in her face, leaving her standing on the doorstep, still in total shock at what had just happened.
