Aniko had never like shopping before, but then this place had everything and although she a first felt nearly naked in this silk outfit. She was soon able to ignore the men that would look to long at her. She realized that they were going to look whether it bothered her or not and hell he would have to push his eyes back in if Robin had ever worn this outfit when he was still Jim.
Jim she thought, its only been two days and it already seems like a lifetime ago. Well she thought it does no good to worry about it now, She is Aniko, she will be a Sorceress and she is a Women.
She had mulling through her thoughts as she was looking around a small shop, she was so lost in thought that she had not noticed the clearing outside the shop clear of people. She turned and walked out of the shop, just as the Dragon Tarton was landing in the clearing.
The Dragon was majestic, his scales ranged from a deep blue hue to a light green, he was huge. He was longer then a 18 wheeler truck with a trailer and taller then a three story building.
Aniko didn't realy think of how beautiful the dragon was, although not a normal occurrence in the city every one in the city had seen a dragon land in the city before at one time or another, Aniko had not and most every story she had read in her world dragons are evil creatures that kill and distroy. And now there was one less than twenty feet away and the way it landed it happened to looking almost directly at her.
She screamed and turned around as she was starting to run back into the shop. In a blind panic she ran directly in to a display of glass ware. The whole display went crashing to the floor, her on top of it. She felt the glass cut into her arms, legs and deeply into her stomach. The pain was horrible as she blacked out.
She slowly awoke in a fine bed with silk sheets, the first thing she saw Aileron. She started to sit up there was no pain 'how can that be', as she sat up she saw a smile on Aileron face. "I am happy that you are okay, I rushed here as soon as I heard of your accident."
"What happened, the dragon didn't eat me?" Aniko said in a confused and almost pathitic voice as she pulled her sheets as if to hid from the dragon.
"No no my child, Tarton is a friend of the people Bellizar, it is he that they are to honor tonight. And to tell you the truth he was almost as frightened by your actions as you were of him. He has returned back with gifts three times, while you have been resting and recovering. He was very upset that he had caused harm to you." Aileron was gently stroking her hair as he was trying to comfort her.
"But I....., he came here, he is so large how could he come in here."
"When they need to, Dragons can take a human like form. They can only do so for a short period of time and it is said to be uncomfortable for them. Although his fighting abilites are almost unmached, Tarton is an old dragon and such things as walking long distances in human form have become dificult for him so they alow him to land in the middle of the city when he comes to visit. He wanted to be here when you awoke but it was to difficult for him to stay in human form he had to go to the ball room where he could rest in comfort."
Aniko felt sorry for the old dragon, he didn't mean to frighten her. It was then that she thought of the cuts she had gotten. She pulled down the sheets to look at her stomach. There wasn't even a mark. Aileron looked away, she was in only her underware, and before she could even ask. "A healer was brought to heal the wounds, I fear that your new outfit was ruined though. Tarton has brought you gifts to replace them but they may be a bit much for you. Would you please cover up it is inproper for me to see you in your underware." She pulled the sheet back up to cover her breast.
Aileron walked over to the dresser and lifted a white gown, it was the one from her dream, the vail that went with it wasn't made of silk it was made from rows of diamonds. "He has also brought you many pieces of Jewlry."
Aniko just sat there stuned, it was the dress from her dream, what the hell does that mean. She couldn't talk, she didn't know what to say.
"I understand your reaction, I will go to Tarton and explain that you can't accept his gifts."
