"Julie is out of control and needs to be stopped," Becca said after long consideration. "But I don't think you should blink over there ready to fight. And not because I don't trust you with infinite power, Min. I'm worried that Julie might win. She's had a bunch of those sodas and she's off the charts in terms of what she can do. She's as likely to drain you of your power as you are to do it to her. And if that happened..." Becca shuddered "...Well, Julie isn't Evel. She's just a selfish bitch. But she isn't showing any desire to constrain herself. With that much power at her disposal, she could just rewrite reality with a thought. She wouldn't need minions like me to taint the water supply."
Min suddenly looked concerned. "Oh, yeah. Speaking of which..."
The Mark persona was more comfortable with their powers, so he closed his eyes and concentrated for a few seconds while he sent microscopic selves to scout around town. "OK, I may have caused a little malfunction at the pumping station," he reported. "But it looks like Becca's milk has taken hold on half the campus. Even in summer session, that's about several hundred students and staff transformed. They're showing demonic features, and for about half of the guys exposed, there was a gender swap involved. And they're all horny as hell. There's a huge orgy on the quad going on right now.
"That decides it," Becca said. "We have to get to Julie and convince her to rein it it. Failing that, we have to take her down and fix things herself."
"From the look of things, those demons may not want to be fixed. They were really going at it."
"We have to give them the choice," Becca said. "And I want to make sure you're good with this, too. You'll be taking all of the risk."
"Actually, we were thinking about having you join us," Min said.
"Me? I would last a second against Julie..."
"You would if you joined with me, the way I joined with Mark," Min said.
The Min persona seemed uncomfortable, so Mark stepped up. "This is a pretty big thing we're asking. It's forever, and there's no going back. It's also...ah...really intimate. Min and I have no secrets. Every embarrassing moment from our past, every random sex thought. We see everything about each other."
"So it's like being married?" Becca asked.
"Even closer. We're completely the same person. We just split into two personalities from time to time. Mark joined with me to save my life. But you have a choice. I love you and even if you say no, I'd still want to spend my life with you."
"Plus there's me," Mark said. "I'm really fond of both of you, but I've only known you for less than a day. It's a big thing to ask you to spend the rest of our lives together. Hell, depending on how things go with Julie, we could be together forever."
They looked at Becca expectantly. Julie felt like the weight of the world was on her shoulders.
