Unending BE - episode 342453

As Jim set his bag on the table (he had a bag) and began removing stuff from it, the Addventure's camera panned over to Sid, who was still leaving.

Sid weaved his way through the twisted corridors of Literary Guardians Inc., making his way through an unsolvable maze.

At last, he made it to an unmarked door, with a security scanner on the side.

Sid slid his card through the scanner, and began punching in his numbers.

The door slid open, revealing a dimly lit room, which Sid stepped into.

The door closed.

There was a man waiting for him, dressed in conservative clothing, and sitting down at a table.

"So, Mr. Russel," the man asked, "How did it go?"

"Mr. Williams, it went according to plan." Sid replied.

"Good." Mr. Williams said. "Did he recognize you at all?"

"Not one bit, sir." Sid responded.

"Excellent. Everything is working." Mr. Williams said. He leaned forward to get a better look at Sid. "On my end, he has no recollection each time, and to top it off, he didn't even recognize Rick."

"Yes sir." Sid said. "Sir, the only constant on this end seems to be Sharon. Do you think that might have anything to do with Rick?"

"Of course not. We gave Rick a fake name, of course, but Jim had no recollection of him at all."

There was a moment of silence.

Then Sid said, "Sir, if I may, I really don't feel right about doing this. I mean-"

"You feel guilty because he's your family?" Mr. Williams asked.

"Well, yes."

"Would you rather that we go to Plan B with Jim?"

"No sir!" Sid immediately responded.

"Good. Well then, make sure that he has no idea of our connection, or even his own connection. Just make sure that he does his job, and we'll take care of everything else down at ChangeCorp."

"Yes sir." Sid said once again.

"Good. You are dismissed, Mr. Russel." Mr. Williams said.

Sid sighed, and then opened the door.

Sid walked out, feeling empty, but ready to live the lie.

  1. That night, at his home, Sid decided to do the right thing.
  2. Sid went about his job, ensuring that Jim remained clueless.
  3. Sid went back and visited Jim, just to see how Jim was doing.
  4. *Mr. Williams began to doubt Sid's loyalty, and began to do something about it.
  5. In a bizarre twist, Jim had been standing outside and had heard the whole thing.
  6. Something else.
