"Okay!" Alice said, out of the blue. "We're going to have a little writing excercise. Create a character, and transform him or her. Pencils ready, go!"

Gilroy began writing with a pen, just to be different.

He wrote about a woman, who grew and grew.

She grew taller, surpassing amazonic proportions.

To give her depth, he made her unbelieving, having her close her eyes and chant to herself that it couldn't be happening.

When she had opened her eyes, she had made an incredible height jump to where she was more than thrice her previous height.

She screamed in terror, and people gathered around her.

They were beginning to become doll-sized from her perspective, and she began running away.

She came across a cop car, and the expanding woman bent over and picked up the car.

It was so tiny in her hand, not more than 6 inches.

A similarly tiny man got out and stared up in awe.

"You've got to help me!" She cried out.

Gilroy stopped writing and turned to look.

Outside there was a woman, growing.

He and the other students ran to the window and stared at the gradually expanding woman.

They noticed (but she didn't) that a UFO came out of nowhere behind her, and shot her in the back with a red beam.

She dropped a police car in surprise, and turned to swat at whatever it was.

But the UFO flew off in time.

However, it had done its job, but in a matter of seconds, she began diminishing rapidly.

She jumped up and down, and cried out in happiness, for she just wanted to be normal-sized.

However, when she reached normal size, she was incredibly distraught to find herself shrinking further.

She quickly shrank down to only 6 inches tall.

A van pulled up, unmarked except for the letters "CC" on its side.

Two people got out, picked up the tiny woman, put her in a container, and drove off with her.

Around the classroom, everybody was asking "What had happened."

Everybody, that is, except Gilroy.

He knew what he had to do.

  1. *He knew what he had to do.
  2. *He knew what he had to do.
  3. *He knew what he had to do.
  4. *He knew what he had to do.
  5. He knew what he had to do.
  6. Something else.
