Sean and Jim's babies get older

"If we feed Sam and Joan here in the hospital, through a tube, they'll keep growing fast, up to a limit. It's your decision what to do. But if you make them older, you won't have crying babies at night, and you can leave them in the house safely."

"But we don't even live together!" said Jim. "We just met today!"

"If you don't have a house, then you can't leave them in it, of course. But they have to be somewhere."

"That doesn't make sense to me," said Sean. "Their bodies may get older, but they aren't going to school or anything. They're not even learning to eat, or talk, or watch TV. They can't learn that in a few days."

"You don't need to learn to watch TV," said Jim.

"Don't talk to the mother of your ch1ld that way," said Sean. "You know what I mean. Doc, tell me, if they're going to get older, will they act older?"

"Well," he explained, "that's one of the benefits of the alien pregnancy aid. You see..."

1. *Their minds will be exact copies of your own at the moment you gave birth
2. They will act just like their physical age, even though they don't remember a past
3. I'll send them home as five year olds, but whenever they learn something they'll get older
4. They'll start not knowing anything but will learn easily. They should be like normal young people their age in a few weeks.
5. They'll have some basic knowledge, but you can make their personalities whatever you want if, in the next hour, you tell them the personality you want them to have.
