Unending BE - episode 612325

Following Ranma wasn't a problem, as it wasn't like Akane hadn't done it before. They lived in the same house, after all, and there were plenty of sedate and reasonable explanations as to why they'd have to go to the house together. Besides, it wasn't like she'd ever hated the idea of him accompanying her all the time, and letting him take the lead allowed her to do other things on the way home.

Fortunately, he knew the way back to the house, since she rather thought that she wouldn't exactly have the ability to have a reasonable thought at the moment.

All that she could look at was the strong and broad back that her fiance had. She hadn't considered it in that way, but as she gazed at the firm torso he had, she noticed that the flat plane of muscle was... amazing. It was strong enough to take a hit from people who could smash buildings, flexible enough to bend into impossible shapes, and was so well controlled that she could be carried on it with great gentleness. With one hand held close to her chest, she reached out to touch his shoulder with the other... and held herself back just before her fingertips touched the fabric of his shirt. No matter how much she wanted that contact, she couldn't help but wonder what she was expecting to happen.

About the only thing that she could really sense as the property walls around them were painted in the burnished reds and golds of the sunset, was that she had felt wonderful in his arms only a little while earlier. To her, it was simply like she'd been in... heaven, and that was something that she knew that she would love to feel again. Having his arms kindly around her, protective and supportive, while his body was brushing against hers in an unconscious intimate contact....

Her face flamed, and she let out a squeak of shock as she lowered her eyes to look at the asphalt of the street.

"Somethin' wrong?" Ranma asked, glancing at her over his shoulder.

"No, no!" she yelped, waving her hands at him defensively as a nervous laugh and smile worked out of her. "Nothing's wrong! Everything's just peachy!"

"Right...." Just by his tone, it was clear to see that Ranma wasn't convinced, but he wasn't going to push it further.

Akane let out a sigh of relief at that realization, and wondered if she could ever get a hold of herself. What was wrong with her wasn't clear, but she knew that she had to figure out a way of handling it before she caused herself trouble. If nothing else, she'd be a nervous wreck before the end of the day, and she wasn't too keen on getting caught up in that sort of mess.

Hanging her head, she hoped that some sort of clarity would come to her situation soon enough, because this sort of confusion wasn't good for her sanity. Luckily, she didn't need to talk, and he didn't seem to have much in the way of a need to chat either. So, they just continued onwards, focusing more on getting home than conversation, while:

  1. they headed home.
  2. when she got home, Akane headed for the bath, hoping to relieve some tension there.
  3. *dinner was served up soon after they got home.
  4. nighttime saw some interesting dreams for Akane.
  5. back in the library, the book rested.
  6. something else happened.
