Speed and noise would be his enemy now, speed which would cause him to get lost and noise would alert any number of the others here. Mousse, Shampoo, Cologne, Genma or even Ranma. A slight noise could betray his plans as he waited for luck while remaining in sight of the Camp, sleeping lightly as he waited for his opportunity. Which came the same night as he had changed his relationship with Akane as Ranma slipped out of his tent and moved to go to the bathroom from the way he walked. Ryoga sat and waited for the other boy to return.
'Ranma has a near perfect sense for danger, allowing him to dodge attacks in his sleep. I know from personal experience. If I throw eggs at him, he will dodge and get out of the way. Unless I can get him not where he is but where he will be when he dodges the attack. I need something to cause him to jump.' thought Ryoga as he looked around and notice a couple of pine cones. He smiled as he came up with his plan.
Ranma was returning from the bathroom, when he felt something charged with ki coming at him. Moving to jump out of the way, he was shocked by a sudden hit by another object before he was engulfed by something.
In the shadows, Ryoga watched the eggshell form around Ranma. Years of training to throw the iron cloth had gotten him use to throwing objects quickly, improved by throwing something aerodynamic when compared to cloth. He threw a small number of eggs and a couple managed to hit Ranma as the boy dodge pine cones changed with ki enough for someone to sense it without making them a threat. Ryoga watched the large egg as he collected those imprinting eggs which had not cracked when tossed for future use. Once this was finished, Ryoga used his fist to shatter the eggshell Ranma had been in. A male Ranma was curled up in a ball as he looked up at Ryoga.
"What happened? I was dodging something and..." asked Ranma who eyes were locked on Ryoga as if the boy held his complete attention.
"That's not important. We have more important things to talk about, thinks I have to ask you and tell you. You have to answer me quickly and truthfully, plus you have to listen closely to me. Now, in truth, how do you feel about Akane? Are you in love with her? " said Ryoga, trying to copy what he had done before as the previous time had given him great results.
"I... I... I love her. Yes, I do love Akane."
The truth revealed Ryoga would have been more jealous now if he had not change how Akane feels about Ranma. To iron out a bump he had to work on this, "Are you sure Ranma? As your greatest rival, I have come to know a lot about you as I study how to beat you. I bet I could tell you things about yourself even you didn't know till I bring them up.
Like Akane. I know you love her but not as a fiancee. You love her more like a..." Ryoga had to swallow as he was about to say some things about Akane he didn't want to, but it was the best way to neutralize Ranma, "...like an older sister, one who always thinks she knows best for you. You love her like a sister but she can be so annoying at times when she thinks she knows better then you. She's not someone you see yourself marrying, because you aren't attracted to her in that way. It would be likely marrying your mother. She's cute like your mother is pretty but dating her or more would be gross. You just care for her well being like a sister and protect her from trouble. You have been feeling this way for a long time now, but were afraid how the families would react if you told them this."
"You're right, I just don't know what Mr. Tendo and my pops would do if I didn't go through this engagement. Plus if I drop Akane, no telling how the other rivals and fiancees would do. Plus Mr. Tendo and Pops would likely put up Nabiki or Kasumi, who can't fight back as well as AKane. Which is why I have been dragging me heels with Akane." said Ranma as he was making up his own history for his actions in relations to the new worldview Ryoga had given him.
Ryoga realized the Fiancee Wars would need to end if Akane and him were to get peace. Mr. Tendo and Saotome would switch the engagement if Akane left and Akane would be upset or sad if her sister had been harmed while engaged to Ranma. He could hit the Tendo and the Saotome families to remove the engagement, or hit the most dangerous rivals and the fiancees who would be left over to leave it safe for another Tendo sister.. He figure most of them would not attack Nabiki and Kasumi as they were not fighters but he didn't want to take changes.
He had to figure out how to end the Fiancee Wars, which meant who Ranma should end up with.
"Ranma as your rival I know more about you then most people. Including the type of girl you are attracted to and fall completely in love with. Which is..."
