Celty road through the streets with less grace than usual, if one were to closely observe her they might think she was a copy cat rather than the actual black rider she had lost her supernatural grace. But Celty didn't care she was enjoying being human and the little sensations and experiences that a normal human takes for granted were like a Christmas morning for her.
Izaya had fallen behind Celty he was on foot but he had made a few calls that would delay Celty by putting heavier traffic in her usual roots so even leisurely parquoring across the city he would get to Shinra's apartment just before Celty would. Then he would make his move for the bag.
About 90 minutes later Celty arrived at Shinra's and parked her bike, unaware that Izaya was hiding in the building just waiting for the right opportunity.
"Hey Celty did everything go well?" Shinra said with a smile just happy to have her back but something was up he could tell from her body language that she was overjoyed about something and seemed heavier than usual.
"You could say that Shinra." Celty said with a smug tone enjoying the wide eyed look of shock on Shinra's face.
"What? How?" Shinra said as Celty took off her helmet and smiled at her long time friend and lover.
"This powder did it Shinra, I wished I was a normal woman and now i am." Celty said holding up the bag of Wishing Powder. Shinra shook his head and adjusted his glasses getting some of his composure back.
"Normal woman? Why would wish for that?" Shinra said with a disappointing tone in his voice. Then Celty made a few bizarre face at him still getting the hang of having an actual face again until she finally gave him a harsh look.
"Well sorry I didn't know it was I thought it was a joke, but now I'm human and have my head back." Celty said cracking her neck something she had wanted to do but had never been able to to.
"Do you have your old memories back?" Shinra asked in a worried tone, a part of him wondering if this was the day he lost his Celty and the original would take over and hate him.
"No no I don't my memories are still the same as they were before, but if I use the powder again maybe I can get them back." Celty said opening the bag of powder only for Shinra to grab her hand.
"Wait Celty you don't really know what this powder does. One dose gave you a head and it seems like your human, who knows what would happen if you took a second dose." Shinra said the Doctor and Scientist in her exerting himself.
Celty looked at the powder then at Shinra. The powder had made her human but she had trusted Shinra for years.
"Okay we can test it, the instructions said it works on objects too." Celty said and she saw the relief in Shinra's eyes as he let go of her hand.
"Good let's see what this dust can do." Shinra said wondering if he could change Celty back with a hand full of dust.
What neither of them noticed was Izaya had slipped inside the apartment and was watching them from inside a closet. He would let them play with the dust then use it for his own ends.
