Tsunade smiled as Hinata arrived. "Ah, good. Sit down, Hinata, and I'll explain the mission." Once the girl had complied, she opened up a folder full of information. "Now, your mission is relatively simple...But very confidential. There isn't even a proper ranking for this. Now, whatever is said here must never leave this room, understand?"
Hinata gulped, nodding. "O-Of course! I'll never speak a word of it, I promise!" And now, she'd never be able to, either...
Tsunade returned her focus to the folder. Hinata had never broken her word on any occasion, after all. "Excellent. Now then, you must understand the situation...I have to engage in a confidential meeting with several other Kages, that cannot be found out. Because of this, I need a body double...And that's where you'll come in. Now, if all goes as planned, this mission will only last for 72 hours. You will maintain a genjutsu, handling my day-to-day tasks and keeping up the illusion...Any questions?"
Hinata, for her part, was shocked. "Eh?! B-But I couldn't be a convincing Kage!" Well there went any hope of that happening.
It was at this point Shizune piped in. "Of course, we'd never expect a teenager to run the entire village...I'll be 'advising' you throughout the days. We know all the decisions that will be crossing this desk, and have postponed any and all meetings, so all you have to do is check the ones I tell you to, drink some water out of a sake bottle, and present a convincing image."
At this point, Hinata was scrambling for ways out of this. "Um...There has to be someone before me on the list, isn't there?"
Tsunade nodded, as a few other files manifested in her folders. But of course, Hinata was still here, so justifications formed... "Honestly, yes. Our first choice was Kurenai, but she's currently occupied on a mission...As are Sakura, and the active members of the Yamanaka clan. You're still quite high on the list, of course."
Poor Hinata was starting to sweat. "But...My genjutsu's not even very good..." All that knowledge fell out of her head, and the room shifted slightly...Not that Hinata noticed, too panicked by the weight of this potential mission.
Tsunade's smile turned a little mischievous...Or perhaps, malicious. "We're aware of that...But we do have ways to make this still quite viable. Shizune, if you would?" In this warped reality, Shizune had slipped around the room, coming behind Hinata silently with a syringe. But to the poor girl had been protected from the actual shift in events, and thus had no hope of noticing until she felt a sudden injection enter one of her major veins. She scarcely managed a yelp from the pain before the drugs kicked in, and her last vision was of Tsunade standing up and approaching her before everything went dark....
