1. Ranma was cursed to become a boy and wanted to be cured.
2. Ranma found out that by doing so she would become immortal.
3. Ranma was going to use this to fake death and live life as Ranko somewhere else to run away from the engagements and such of Ranma.
4. Ranma liked being a girl better than being a boy so much that she wanted to be a girl and a girl only.
5. *Ranma's love was incompatible with boys and thus Ranma is giving up her manhood for love.
