Ranma stared into the water, thinking about why she was about to do this. It was a sacrifice, yes, a very big one, she would rather give her life instead, but she would do it for one reason. And that was love. She was in love, deep, passionate, love. The types fairy tales are made of. However there was a problem, and that was the male body. Her love couldn't live a man. So, after searching deep into her soul, Ranma agreed to give up her male body for love and so they could be together.
It was slumbering, and nerve wracking, but Ranma had to do it. She couldn't bear having something like this keep her from her love. She couldn't. Most people in these situations where sex and gender get in the way can't simply change to make it work. They can't jump the gender and sexual barriers so easilly. But she could. To give up would be a slap in the face, a disservice to so many.
While she would prefer to be a man, she knew that she could love with being a girl and only a girl, forever, as long as she had her love. It wouldn't be as hard compared to others, due to already being a girl part time for a long time now. There would be more hardships down the road, but truely, surely sacrificing her male body was the biggest step to accomplish. And she can't keep it waiting any longer.
"I jump in and I'll be locked in this body, correct?" Ranma asked the guide to clarify and confirm her research.
The guide nodded. "Yes, yes, do so, no more back and forth. Remember take water in as well."
Ranma took a deep breath, and with tears running down her cheeks, she jumped into the spring. And she did it for her love...
