Not to be pedantic and this is a years old episode, but a person's orientation is seperate of their gender. If the orientation didnt change, then a gay man becomes a straight woman, because both are attracted to men. If they change who they are attracted to (episode example of gay to les), then the orientation did change.
Actually... Thats kinda an amusing though though. Orientation itself is bot tied to your gender... But (at least in thr consideration of gay/lesbian) the term are.
Though if I recall queer history, lesbian was a later addition and gay used to apply to both men and women.
