Edith hesitated when she saw the sign to the shop, she had heard a lot of nasty rumors about a mysterious shop that somehow messed peoples lifes up pretty badly. Eventually, however, curiosity overcame good sense and she went in just to see what all the fuss was about.
She went in and entered what looked to be like an ordinary General store with an unusually large clothing section. But when she looked closer she saw that all the merchandise had really funny names like "Dr Steins Miracle Grow". She was startled out of her investigations by a light voice from the counter.
"Well, well, what do we have here?"
The voice belonged to the fattest man Edith had seen so far in her life. He looked like a round ball, she thought, and it didn't help that he also was completely bald. He was dressed in a white suit and waved her towards the counter with a hand that glittered from all the jewellry he wore. As she approached he started to smile wider and she felt a little afraid of him.
"Well,little girl, were you looking for something special?" he asked.
"No, I was just browsing," Edith answered.
"Well, feel free to continue then. This week we have a special sale on all potions, of course, a young girl like you may be more interested in our jewellry department. Then again, our costumes are always popular, and if you are that kind of girl we have some interesting books and scrolls too. Just browse around and come to me with any questions you might have. Good day!"
Edith slowly chewed on a finger as she pondered about where to start.
