As Link stared on in shock, Midna finally managed to unclasp and remove the gauntlet from around her hand. "Got it." Midna muttered as she dropped the leather glove to the floor.

As link looked up with anticipation evident in her one visible eye, Midna examined the back of her new Hylian hand. "So…" Link paused, not sure she wanted to hear the answer the her question, "What's it look like?"

"Nothing" was Midna's blunt response, "Just plain old beige skin."

"But that means-" Link was interrupted by Midna, "Yep, your still the hero, Hero."

"That's impossible. That means we've lost." Link said sounding entirely defeated, "I mean, look at me, there's no way I can fight against Zant or crawl through a dungeon like this! I don't think I can even hold a sword, let alone wield it."

Midna sighed, Link appeared to be near in tears. The weight of this new transformation seemed to have completely crushed her spirit. While pep talks were never Midna's thing she knew that Hyrule was done for if its hero was this demoralized in addition to begin trapped in the body of an imp.

"Okay Link, I've had enough of this. We're both two for two on being transformed, but you don't see me crying about it. You're The Hero of Hyrule, it doesn't matter what you look like right now, it doesn't change that you've been chosen by the Goddesses to save not only this kingdom but mine as well. So I need you to stop moping about, get up, and do your Goddess given job."

While Midna's version of a pep talk was essentially just her yelling at and berating her teammate, it seemed to be fairly effective, as Link's gaze shifted up to Midna, wiping her eye, she questioned her partner, "How are we going to save anything? Like I said, I can't even hold a sword in the light, and even if I could It'd be completely useless against anything more than maybe a single Keese."

"No one ever said that the hero had to be the one charging head first into hordes of monsters. It could just as well be the hero's much more beautiful, much more intelligent, companion. If we work together your still doing heroics just by proxy." Midna's retort was filled with confidence, though inside she had her doubts about being the one storming forward sword in hand while Link backed her up with tips and strategies.

Link's eye swiftly scanned up and down Midna's new form. The Hylian body of the princess of the Twili was small, while she still towered over Link's minuscule stature, Midna couldn't have been taller than 5 feet. Her body was lithe, possessing little apparent muscle, with small breast and wide hips she had a similar silhouette to her imp form. Link knew that this was not the body of a swordsman, or swordswoman in this case.

"No offense Midna," Link started, "but you don't exactly look like the sword wielding type."

Midna opened her mouth to respond but Link continued, "Either way, you're still right. We need to figure out what our plan of action is."

Link struggled to her small feet, having to hang onto the bed for support that her newly unbalanced body couldn't give her.
