The Matrix of Order, last relic of a lost civilization. The Matrix of Order, executor of the very important mission. Having slipped through the odd space/non-space that separates one universe from another, determined its location to be in a vaguely rectangular cubicle of purpose unknown to it. The walls were thin and open at the top, and the AI could tell from its scanning profile that several similar cubicles were arranged on either side of the one it was in. At one end of the cubicle was a rounded block of rigid structures connected to each other and the floor by conduits of uncertain purpose. Preliminary analysis indicated that the conduits contained some sort of liquid and might extend considerably beyond the floor.
As the principal structure of the first place in this universe which the Matrix had observed, this was a prime candidate for being set in order. However, just as the matrix was positioned to fire its beam, the wall behind it pivotted in place, slamming it into the adjacent wall as an unknown creature suddenly entered the cubicle.
With a sigh of relief, Sayaka pulled down her panties and sat down on the toilet. If she hadn't gotten to the restroom just now... well, she probably could have held out a little while longer if she'd really had to, but it wouldn't have been pleasant. Fortunately, she didn't need to worry much about that. She'd be done with what she needed to do in just a couple of minutes.
Sayaka had plenty of other things she was planning to do soon afterwards, but before she could move on to any of those things, she was struck by a beam that changed her reality.
