"Ok, I have to ask, how did you two get together?" Ranma was definitely curious. After all, it was exactly the same time as she was getting it with Konatsu.
Akane blushed and looked away. "It's complicated!"
"Oh, please, Miss Akane, please tell us." Konatsu asked politely.
Akane stammered, still not used to that politeness.
Seeing Akane in distress made Ukyo speak up. "I'll tell it, I'll tell it. It all started the day you two left for the mountains."
Akane came down to Ukyo's restaurant, angry. "That jerk!"
"What did he do now, Akane?" Ukyo sighed.
"Because he left to do whatever with Konatsu, no one will try my cooking!" Akane stomped her feet angrily. "They all ran away instead of even trying it!"
"Well, you do notoriously suck at it Akane." Ukyo shrugged.
"I've been getting better!" Akane insisted. "I don't suck at it..."
Ukyo saw that Akane had a bowl of whatever she made with her and with expertise, scooped it up and threw it into Akne's mouth.
Akane gagged, turned green and fell on the floor, spasming.
"So you don't have weird taste buds." Ukyo frowned. "You alright?"
Akane couldn't help but vomit it out.
"Ew! Akane! Why? I just had Konatsu clean the floor!" Ukyo pulled at her hair.
Akane started to cry, her tears mixing with the contents of her stomach. "I do suck at cooking..."
Ukyo, despite being Akane's rival, was sort of her friend. And as such, she has to help. With reluctance, she pulled Akane up off the floor and sat her down, wiping her face.
"Yes, you are a terrible cook." Ukyo shrugged. "So what? We all don't have the same gifts or talents."
Akane sniffled, snot dangling and going back up her nose. "But if I can't cook, I fail as a woman."
Ukyo sighed. "You are letting society mess with you. You don't fail as a woman Akane, I mean yours still a teenager for crying out loud!"
"But you have a restaurant!" Akane sobbed.
"And you're rich." Ukyo shrugged. "So?"
Akane shook her head. "I'm not. The Kuno family is."
"Dammit Akane, stop beating yourself up!" Ukyo shook Akane back and forth by the shoulders.
Akane still cried, falling onto the counter.
Ukyo left her be for the moment and mopped up the mess. She closed the restaurant so she wouldn't be disturbed.
"Akane. Look at me. Dammit look at me!" Ukyo demanded. "How can you fail as a woman if you're still a girl and almost any guy chases after you!"
Akane looked up. "But they're a bunch of perverts!"
"Well duh! They're guys! Horny teenage guys! And you're attractive!" Ukyo was getting frustrated.
"Is this attractive?" Akane pointed hot her chest. "Shampoo, even Ranma... I'm nothing."
Ukyo closed her eyes, gathered herself, and slapped Akane across the face.
"OW!" Akane rubbed her cheek. "Want did you do that for?"
"Funny, that's Ran-chan's line." Ukyo shook her head. "Snap. Out. Of it. It's sickening watching you beat your self up like this. I figured someone ought to slap you."
"I can fight too!" Akane put up her fists. "I'm a martial artist!"
"Yes, I know!" Ukyo pounded the counter with her hands. "This is! That's it, I got it, come on."
Akane was surprised when Ukyo dragged her back to the dojo. She had no idea what Ukyo was planning but if it was a fight, she knew she could so well.
"Here it is." Ukyo got under Akane's window and jumped, grabbing into the roof. With skill, she opened the window and jumped in.
"HEY!" Akane steamed from down below. "Get out of my room!"
Ukyo stuck her head out. "Alright."
She jumped out and landed next to Akane.
Suddenly, Akane found herself airborne and going through her window onto her bed.
"Get dressed into your best dress!" Ukyo yelled from down below. "I've got a surprise for you."
Akane, despite all the throwing and disrespect did so. She didn't know why. Maybe she wanted to show Ukyo how pretty she could be or because she was just thrown through her window. Nevertheless she dressed in her best. She looked out the window and to her surprise she saw Ukyo. In a tuxedo! Holding flowers!
"What!" Akane screamed.
Ukyo smirked and walked towards the door and knocked.
Akane ran down the stairs and opened the door ready to give Ukyo a piece if her mind but instead flowers blocked her way.
"For the pretty lady." Ukyo winked.
Akane took them and was amazed by how they looked up close. "Alright, what is going on here?"
"I figured you need perspective on how a real date should go." Ukyo shrugged. "So I'm taking you out to eat. My treat."
Akane blushed. "But we are both girls!"
"Do I look like a girl to you?" Ukyo asked.
Akane looked Ukyo up and down studying very closely Avery single part of her. "No."
"Exactly. Care to join me this evening, Tendo-San?" Ukyo bowed.
Akane fidgeted and looked around for anyone but gave in and went with Ukyo.
Ranma interrupted the story. "Hold on! That first day you took Akane on a date!"
"It wasn't like that!" Akane was red with embarrassment and covering her face. "That... That was later. Way later."
Ukyo shrugged. "Well the first parts were too boring. We went to school, Akane said hi, we ditched school one time, some cafe thought we were a couple, Akane pounded that guy, Akane complained and then she made dinner."
"Ah." Ranma nodded. "That makes more sense."
"It was when the guy thought we were a couple that I got the idea. Which Akane forced me to use because of that incident." Ukyo shrugged.
