Konatsu and Ranma, Ukyo and Akane: who cares what they think?

Ranma stood up and faced the others. "You know what, Konatsu is right."

Akane, Ukyo and Konatsu were baffled.

"Yes, Konatsu is right." Ranma crossed her arms over her chest. "Why should we change just to make our parents happy? If they can't accept us, who cares? As long as we have each other we should love who we want!"

"But Ranma, we could get kicked out of our families!" Akane yelled at her.

"I don't care." Ranma smirked. "You see they could only do these things if we actually care. They can't force us. I'm me for crying out loud! Konatsu is a genius! Ukyo can hold her own and Akane is terrifying when mad! So what if my mom tries to force me to commit suicide? I'm better than her! Sure Cologne and the old perv can be an issue but Mousse would be glad I'm not with Shampoo, Ryoga would be willing to help and Kasumi is nice."

"Ran-chan, are you saying we will go to war here?" Ukyo was shocked. "War war? Kill?"

Akane stood up. "I will not let you kill anyone!"

"Calm down, we don't have to kill people. But beating them up is a ok!" Ranma laughed.

Ukyo shook her head. "You would beat up your own mother?"

Ranma looked away. "Well we can just run away from her she's not that fast..."

"Honestly, that is stupid." Akane sat back down.

"Hey we are martial artists! It's time to stop letting people control our lives and do what WE want to do!" Ranma paced around the campfire. "We will decide our own fate!"

"They can still kick us out." Akane reminded Ranma. "I don't know if I can survive as... You know."

"It doesn't matter now does it?" Ranma smirked. "We won't be one."

Akane was confused. "Wait what?"

Ranma pointed to Ukyo. "Kuonji has a nice ring to it right?"

Ukyo stood up. "That is does, Ran-chan. If you two get kicked out, well you're be marrying into OUR family. Right bro?"

Everyone looked at Konatsu.

"Yes! Yes yes!" Konatsu giggled like a schoolgirl, jumping around in his seat.

"Come on man, act manly for once." Ranma sighed. "Look Akane, they want a Saotome and a Tendo to marry right? If they kick us out, Mom has no children and they can't. If only you get kicked out you can marry Ukyo easy. Kasumi wouldn't interfere with me and Konatsu and Nabiki doesn't like me anyways so..."

Akane looked around, seeing her lover and friends all agreeing. "But my family. Your mom, Ranma. Do you really want to alienate everyone?"

"They would be alienating themselves from us, Akane." Ranma corrected. "And my mom, I would love to be with her, to have her in my life sure. But not if it means I lose Konatsu. I've decided Akane."

Konatsu jumped up and into Ranma's arms. Ranma rolled her eyes at this and Ukyo laughed.
