Jim entered the room.
Seated all about the table were men dressed in vaguely militaristic conservative clothing.
"Mr. Ellis, have a seat please." The man at the head of the table said. "My name is Mr. Williams."
"Um, hello." Jim nervously said.
"Yes. I'm glad you're here. There are some things that you need to be aware of. Things that could change the course of our very universe." Mr. Williams said.
"What's going on?" Jim asked.
One of the men coughed slightly.
Mr. Williams said, "Go on Mr. Johnson."
The man who coughed, presumably Mr. Johnson, stood up.
"At approximately 16:09:15 today, at 342355, something very dangerous occurred. A company, using a government grant, suddenly made parallel universes available."
"I don't understand." Jim said.
"Using technology that suddenly had been around already, they've opened other realities to the general public. Now, as you know, we here at ChangeCorp do two things: We find ways to change people, and we do our best to keep these changing-processes out of evil's reach."
"Mr. Ellis is new here," Mr Williams said, "So why don't you explain the implications of this."
Mr. Johnson continued. "You see, if we don't stop this from going any further, there will be hell on Earth."
