CC: Not Your Common or Garden Bomb

"Be quick," Henri said. "We don't have much time."

So Jim and Sharon quickly related what they had discovered when looking for Karen.

"That's very interesting," Henri said. "I can't see what ChangeCorp are up to with them. However I'm still activating the bomb. Don't fret, though. It would have needed a tactical nuke to take out the whole of a building this size, and that would have caused far too much collateral damage to the surrounding area. This bomb is an EMP device."

"A what?" Sharon asked.

"Electro-Magnetic Pulse," Henri explained. "It will do little physical damage but it will fry all the electronics in the building. Without their computers and electronic equipment, CC will be reduced to near impotence. Your women should be quite all right, though, and if we can we will come up with a plan for rescuing them later on."

1. *Henri activates the device and then they all go through the portal.
2. The device goes off prematurely, unfortunately frying their own electronic equipment along with everything else. In particular, they can't open a portal now.
3. They've taken too long with all the explanations. More guards arrive.
4. Something else.
